Detergent residue on tub and gasket, Standing water in gasket folds, Infrequent hot washes, Blocked drain or vent passages

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use gloves and ensure good ventilation when using cleaning chemicals.

  • Clean gasket: Wipe the door gasket thoroughly with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or washer cleaner. Pull back folds to remove hidden residue.
  • Run tub clean cycle: Use the built-in tub clean program (if available) with a Midea-approved washing machine cleaner or white vinegar and baking soda.
  • Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door slightly open to allow the drum and gasket to dry.
  • Use correct detergent: Use HE (high-efficiency) detergent in the recommended amount to reduce residue.
