Possible Causes

Clogged inlet mesh filters, Defective water inlet valve, Low household water pressure, Kinked or blocked inlet hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the washer and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.

  • Check water supply: Ensure the tap feeding the washer is fully open and that other taps in the house have normal pressure.
  • Inspect inlet hose: Pull the washer forward slightly. Turn off the tap, unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the machine, and check for kinks or crushing along its length.
  • Clean inlet filters: At the machine's water inlet valve, remove the small mesh filter(s) with needle-nose pliers. Rinse under running water to remove grit and limescale, then reinstall.
  • Test fill: Reconnect the hose, open the tap, and briefly run a rinse cycle. If the error persists, the inlet valve coil may be faulty.
  • Replace inlet valve if needed: Remove the top cover (usually two screws at the back, slide back and lift). Locate the water inlet valve assembly where the hose connects. Disconnect the wiring connectors and hose clamps, swap in the new valve, and reassemble.
