Possible Causes
Torn or worn door gasket, Foreign object trapped in seal, Loose door seal retaining band, Excessive suds overflowing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
- Inspect door seal: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber gasket all around, especially the bottom. Look for tears, holes, or trapped objects like bra wires.
- Clean the seal: Wipe away lint, hair, and detergent residue from the folds of the seal.
- Check retaining bands: Ensure the metal or wire bands holding the seal to the tub and front panel are tight and correctly seated.
- Replace seal if damaged: Remove the outer band, peel the seal from the front panel, then remove the inner band at the tub. Fit the new Neff-compatible seal in reverse order, ensuring the drain holes are at the bottom.
- Control suds: Use the correct detergent and dosage to prevent foam overflow.
