Washer makes a very loud rumbling or roaring noise during the spin cycle.

• Spin by hand: Rotate the drum manually. A rough, grinding sound confirms bearing damage.
• Assess repair vs replacement: On many modern Neff machines, the tub may be sealed, requiring replacement of the entire tub and drum assembly rather than individual bearings.
• Replacement: If proceeding, remove the top, front, and rear panels, disconnect all hoses and wiring to the tub, remove the counterweights, and lift out the tub. Split the tub (if serviceable), replace bearings and seal or fit a new tub assembly, then reassemble.
