Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Detergent and fabric softener residue, Blocked drain trap or standpipe, Dirty door seal and dispenser
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer before cleaning internal parts.
- Run a hot maintenance wash: Run a 90 °C cycle with no laundry, using a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (if approved by Neff) to break down residue.
- Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth and mild detergent, removing slime and lint.
- Clean dispenser drawer: Remove the drawer and wash it and the housing thoroughly to remove mold and detergent build-up.
- Check drain connection: Ensure the drain hose and standpipe are not blocked and that water cannot backflow from the sink into the washer.
- Vent after use: Leave the door and dispenser slightly open between washes to allow drying and reduce odor formation.
