Possible Causes
Shorted heating element to earth, Damaged wiring harness touching chassis, Faulty mains filter, Water leak onto electrical parts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker without finding the cause. Unplug the washer before inspection.
- Visual inspection: Remove rear and top panels. Look for signs of water leaks, burnt connectors, or damaged insulation.
- Check heater: Disconnect heater wires and try running a cold cycle. If the breaker no longer trips, the heater is likely shorted and should be replaced.
- Inspect mains filter and cord: Look for cracks, burns, or moisture. Replace any suspect components.
- Dry moisture: If a leak has wet electrical parts, fix the leak source and allow the machine to dry completely (24–48 hours) before retesting.
