Possible Causes
Clogged dispenser channels, Blocked siphon caps in softener compartment, Faulty multi-way inlet valve for dispenser, Low water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the water tap before removing hoses or the dispenser.
- Step 1 – Clean dispenser drawer: Pull out the detergent drawer completely. Remove any siphon inserts (usually in the softener compartment) and rinse thoroughly under hot water to remove residue.
- Step 2 – Clean housing: Use a small brush to clean the dispenser housing channels where water flows in. Remove caked detergent and softener.
- Step 3 – Check water jets: Look up into the dispenser housing where the inlet valve directs water. Mineral deposits can block the jets; gently clean with a descaling solution and a soft brush.
- Step 4 – Test dispenser valve: With the top cover removed, locate the multi-way inlet valve that feeds the dispenser. Check connectors and measure coil resistance. If one section is open circuit or not actuating during the wash, replace the valve assembly.
