Possible Causes

Intermittent door lock microswitch, Loose door lock wiring, Misaligned door catch, Faulty control board input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before working around the door lock. Do not force the door open.

  • Step 1 – Wait and power reset: Allow several minutes after the cycle ends; the lock may release with a delay. If not, unplug the machine for 5 minutes and try again.
  • Step 2 – Inspect door alignment: Check that the door hinges are not sagging and that the door closes squarely into the frame. Tighten hinge screws if needed.
  • Step 3 – Access door lock: Remove the front gasket clamp and pull back the seal to reach the lock. Check the connector for loose or oxidized pins. Reseat firmly.
  • Step 4 – Test lock feedback: With the lock removed, test the microswitch continuity while actuating the lock mechanism manually. If the switch is intermittent or fails, replace the entire door lock assembly.
  • Step 5 – PCB input: If a new lock does not resolve E11, the control board's door lock input circuit may be defective and require replacement.
