Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Faulty motor, Loose motor connector, Seized drum bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the rear panel.
- Step 1 – Check belt: Remove the rear panel and inspect the belt. If it has come off or broken, replace it and ensure correct alignment on pulleys.
- Step 2 – Spin drum by hand: If the drum is very stiff or seized, bearing failure is likely and requires major repair.
- Step 3 – Motor test: If the belt is intact and the drum turns freely, test the motor windings and brushes (if fitted). Replace the motor if open circuit or mechanically damaged.
