Possible Causes
Stuck or failed Start button, Child lock active, Faulty user interface PCB, Broken wiring between UI and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Check for lock icons: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. If present, disable the child lock per the user manual.
- Step 2 – Try other buttons: If other buttons also fail to respond, suspect the UI board or its power supply.
- Step 3 – Inspect control panel: Remove the control panel and check for moisture or detergent ingress. Clean with isopropyl alcohol if lightly contaminated.
- Step 4 – Wiring check: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and main PCB is firmly connected and undamaged.
- Step 5 – Replace UI board: If the Start button circuit is defective, replace the user interface board.
