Possible Causes
Clogged inlet screens on UniMac water valves, Closed or partially closed building water supply valves, Defective hot or cold water inlet valve coil, Low building water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close both hot and cold water supply valves before disconnecting hoses.
- Verify water supply: Confirm that the building shutoff valves for hot and cold are fully open. Check that other fixtures have normal pressure.
- Clean inlet screens: Disconnect the fill hoses from the back of the washer. Inspect the metal screens inside the UniMac inlet valve ports for debris or scale. Clean gently with a small brush; do not puncture the screens.
- Check hoses: Ensure hoses are not kinked or collapsed. Replace if bulged or cracked.
- Test inlet valve coils: With power off, remove the top or rear panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. Use a multimeter to measure coil resistance; compare to UniMac specifications. Replace the inlet valve assembly if a coil is open or shorted.
- Run a test fill: After reassembly, restore water and power, then run a fill test. If E02 persists despite good supply and a new valve, the control board may not be energizing the valve correctly and should be checked by a technician.
