Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced load, Worn UniMac suspension shocks, Broken suspension springs, Faulty out-of-balance sensor or switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before reaching into the drum or accessing suspension components.
- Redistribute load: Open the door (once unlocked) and redistribute heavy items evenly around the drum. Remove some items if the washer is overfilled, then restart the spin cycle.
- Check leveling: Ensure the washer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the UniMac leveling feet and lock them in place.
- Inspect suspension: Remove the front or rear panel to view the suspension shocks and springs. Look for oil leakage from shocks, broken springs, or detached mounts. Replace worn shocks or broken springs as a set.
- Out-of-balance sensor: Some UniMac models use a switch or sensor on the suspension or frame. Verify its wiring is intact and the sensor is securely mounted. Replace if physically damaged or if testing shows it stuck open/closed.
