Possible Causes
Activated emergency stop (on some UniMac OPL models), Faulty door interlock circuit, Loose safety harness connection, Defective main control safety input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the machine is not in an unsafe condition (leak, open panels, etc.) before resetting any safety devices.
- Check emergency stop: On UniMac commercial washers equipped with an emergency stop button, verify it is pulled out or reset. Press and release to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect door and panel switches: Some models have additional safety switches on service panels or top covers. Confirm all panels are properly installed and switches are engaged.
- Verify wiring: Access the control area and inspect the harnesses for the safety and door interlock circuits. Reseat connectors and look for broken wires.
- Control input test: Using the service manual, test continuity through each safety device to the control. Replace any switch that does not open/close correctly. If all devices are good, the control board safety input may be defective and require replacement.
