Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display and control, Damaged user interface PCB, Faulty main control board communication circuit, Moisture intrusion into control console
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before opening the control console.
- Inspect console for moisture: Remove the control panel and check for signs of water leaks from the dispenser or top. Dry any moisture and correct the leak source.
- Reseat ribbon cables: Carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable(s) between the user interface and main control. Ensure they are fully inserted and locked.
- Check for damage: Look for cracked boards, burned components, or corrosion on both the interface and main control. Replace any visibly damaged board.
- Board substitution: If reseating cables does not clear E10, one of the boards is likely faulty. Start by replacing the user interface if buttons or display are erratic; if that does not resolve the issue, replace the main control board.
