Possible Causes
Stuck or open heater relay on UniMac control board, Loose heater wiring, Overheated or shorted heater element, Faulty temperature feedback to control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool before working on the heater circuit.
- Inspect heater wiring: Access the heater terminals and verify all spade connectors are tight and free of discoloration or melting. Replace any overheated connectors and repair wiring.
- Test heater element: Measure resistance across the heater and check for shorts to ground. Replace the heater assembly if defective.
- Check control board relay: On the main control, locate the heater relay. Look for burned or cracked solder joints and signs of overheating. If the relay is stuck or the board is damaged, replace the control board.
- Verify temperature sensor: Ensure the NTC sensor is properly connected and reading correctly; a bad sensor can cause the control to mismanage heating and trigger E11.
