Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt (on belt-driven UniMac models), Failed drive motor, Faulty motor control/inverter, Defective door lock not allowing motor operation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the rear panel or motor area.
- Check door lock: Confirm the door is locked; if not, resolve lock issues first as the control will not run the motor with an unlocked door.
- Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is on the motor and drum pulleys. If broken or off, replace with the correct UniMac belt and ensure proper tension.
- Test motor: With belt removed, spin the motor pulley by hand; it should turn smoothly. Measure winding resistance and check for shorts to ground. Replace the motor if defective.
- Motor control: If the motor and belt are good, the motor control/inverter or main control board may not be sending power to the motor and may need professional diagnosis and replacement.
