Possible Causes
Torn or worn UniMac door boot gasket, Debris trapped on gasket sealing surface, Loose door clamp or retaining ring, Misaligned door causing poor seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply before working on seals.
- Inspect gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber door boot all the way around. Look for tears, holes, or heavy buildup of soap scum.
- Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the gasket and door glass with a mild detergent solution to remove residue that can prevent sealing.
- Check clamps: On many UniMac models, the boot is held by inner and outer retaining rings. Remove the front panel if needed and verify the clamps are properly seated and tight.
- Replace boot: If the gasket is damaged, replace it with the correct UniMac door boot. Carefully fit it onto the tub lip and door opening, reinstalling the retaining rings securely.
