Possible Causes

Closed or restricted water tap, Clogged inlet filter screens at V-ZUG AquaStop hose, Defective water inlet valve, Wiring or control fault to inlet valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the water supply and disconnect the appliance from mains power before working on hoses or valves.

  • 1. Verify water supply: Ensure the water tap feeding the washer is fully open. Check that household water pressure is normal by opening a nearby faucet.
  • 2. Inspect inlet hose and AquaStop: Straighten any kinks in the V-ZUG AquaStop or standard inlet hose. If equipped with an AquaStop safety valve, ensure it is not mechanically tripped or leaking.
  • 3. Clean inlet filters: Turn off the tap, unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the washer, and remove the small mesh filters from the valve inlets. Rinse under running water to remove limescale and debris, then reinstall.
  • 4. Test fill: Reconnect the hose, turn on the tap, restore power, and start a quick wash to see if filling resumes.
  • 5. Check inlet valve operation (advanced): With power disconnected, remove the top cover. Locate the water inlet valve assembly where the hose connects. Inspect wiring connectors. If you have a multimeter, check coil resistance; an open coil indicates a failed valve.
  • 6. Replace inlet valve: If the valve coils are open or the valve does not open when energized (audible click) and water supply is confirmed, replace the V-ZUG water inlet valve assembly.
  • 7. Technician support: If the valve is good but the control board never energizes it, the main control module or pressure sensor logic may be faulty and requires professional diagnosis.
