Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor (water level sensor), Stuck water inlet valve, Control module water level circuit fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains power and close the water tap. If the drum is overfilled, manually drain via the drain filter before proceeding.

  • 1. Check for continuous filling: With power off and tap open, observe if water continues to enter. If so, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
  • 2. Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom side of the tub/pressure chamber to the pressure sensor on the cabinet wall or control panel area. Check for kinks, cracks, or disconnections.
  • 3. Clear blockage: Detach the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it toward the tub to clear soap or lint blockages. Reattach securely.
  • 4. Examine pressure sensor: Inspect the V-ZUG pressure sensor connector for corrosion or loose pins. Reseat the plug.
  • 5. Test operation: Restore power and run a short cycle. If the machine still overfills or shows E04, the pressure sensor may be defective.
  • 6. Replace pressure sensor: Remove the faulty sensor and install the correct V-ZUG water level sensor, ensuring the hose and connector are firmly attached.
  • 7. Technician diagnosis: If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control module's analog sensing circuit may be faulty and requires professional service.
