Possible Causes

Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring between NTC and control module, Control module analog input fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the machine to cool before accessing the heater/NTC area.

  • 1. Access NTC sensor: Remove the rear panel. The NTC sensor is usually mounted in the heater bracket at the bottom of the tub.
  • 2. Inspect connector: Check the NTC plug for corrosion or loose fit. Reseat the connector.
  • 3. Measure resistance: With a multimeter, measure NTC resistance at room temperature. Compare with V-ZUG specifications (typically tens of kΩ). Infinite or near-zero resistance indicates failure.
  • 4. Replace NTC sensor: Remove the faulty sensor and install a new V-ZUG NTC temperature sensor, ensuring a snug fit in the heater pocket.
  • 5. Technician diagnosis: If a new NTC does not clear E22, the wiring or control module input may be defective and should be checked by a technician.
