Washer shows E41; door appears closed but machine still reports door error

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the door lock assembly.

• 1. Confirm door closure: Ensure the door closes with a firm click and does not spring back.
• 2. Access door lock: Remove the door seal retaining band and gently pull back the seal to access the lock.
• 3. Inspect wiring: Check the connector to the door lock for loose or corroded pins. Reseat the connector.
• 4. Test lock contacts (advanced): With a multimeter, test continuity of the lock's status contacts when the door is closed and the lock energized (refer to wiring diagram).
• 5. Replace door lock: If the status contacts are unreliable, replace the V-ZUG door lock assembly.
• 6. Technician service: If a new lock does not resolve E41, the control module input circuit may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
