Washer shows E50 and may not spin or wash; motor-related error

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the motor or control electronics.

• 1. Allow cooling: If the machine has been running multiple cycles, let it cool for 30–60 minutes and try again. Overheating can trigger protection.
• 2. Inspect motor wiring: Remove the rear panel and check the motor connector and harness for damage or looseness.
• 3. Check drum movement: Rotate the drum by hand. It should move smoothly without grinding or binding.
• 4. Test motor (advanced): For inverter motors, measure winding resistances and insulation according to V-ZUG specifications. For universal motors, check brushes and commutator.
• 5. Replace faulty motor: If the motor windings are open, shorted, or mechanically seized, replace the V-ZUG drive motor assembly.
• 6. Technician service: If the motor is good, the inverter or power electronics module is likely faulty and should be replaced and programmed by an authorized technician.
