Possible Causes
Incorrect NTC value, Wrong replacement sensor fitted, Control module calibration error, Wiring resistance causing misreading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before testing sensors or wiring.
- 1. Verify correct part: Ensure any previously replaced NTC sensor is the correct V-ZUG part number for your model.
- 2. Measure NTC curve: Using a multimeter, measure NTC resistance at different temperatures (room temperature and warmed in your hand) and compare to V-ZUG specifications.
- 3. Inspect wiring: Check for corroded connectors or extended wiring that could add resistance and skew readings.
- 4. Replace NTC: If readings are out of range, install a new, correct V-ZUG NTC sensor.
- 5. Technician calibration: If E70 persists, the control module may require software calibration or replacement by a V-ZUG technician.
