Washer does not dispense fabric softener; softener remains in drawer after cycle
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Clogged softener siphon cap, Dried detergent/softener residue, Low water flow to softener compartment, Faulty dispenser valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before removing the drawer.
- 1. Remove drawer: Pull out the V-ZUG detergent drawer and remove the softener siphon insert (usually a plastic cap or cover).
- 2. Clean thoroughly: Soak the drawer and siphon parts in warm water and scrub away residue. Ensure the siphon tube is clear.
- 3. Clean housing nozzles: Use a brush to clean the water jets above the softener compartment.
- 4. Test with water: Pour water into the softener compartment; it should siphon out when filled to the mark.
- 5. Check dispenser valve: If water never flows into the softener compartment during rinse, test and replace the corresponding V-ZUG dispenser valve.
