Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Worn motor brushes (if applicable), Faulty motor, Loose motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the rear panel.
- 1. Check program: Ensure you have not selected a soak or drain-only program where the drum may not rotate.
- 2. Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is still on the motor and drum pulleys. Refit or replace if broken or stretched.
- 3. Test drum movement: Rotate the drum by hand. If it is stiff or jammed, investigate for foreign objects or bearing seizure.
- 4. Inspect motor: Check the motor connector and wiring. For brushed motors, inspect and replace worn V-ZUG carbon brushes.
- 5. Replace motor: If the motor is open-circuit or seized, install a new V-ZUG drive motor.
- 6. Technician service: If mechanical parts are fine but the motor never receives power, the control module may be faulty.
