Washer leaks water from the front under the door during wash or rinse

Safety first: Disconnect power and avoid running the washer until the leak is resolved to prevent water damage.

• 1. Inspect door seal: Open the door and carefully examine the entire circumference of the rubber gasket for tears, holes, or deformation.
• 2. Remove foreign objects: Check the gap between the drum and seal for bra wires, coins, or other sharp items and remove them.
• 3. Clean seal: Wipe away detergent residue and mold from the seal folds to ensure proper sealing.
• 4. Check retaining band: Verify that the outer metal or plastic retaining band is tight and properly seated around the seal. Refit or tighten if loose.
• 5. Replace gasket: If the seal is damaged, remove the inner and outer retaining bands, pull off the old gasket, and install a new V-ZUG door seal, aligning the drain holes at the bottom.
• 6. Test for leaks: Run a short cycle and observe the door area for any further leakage.
