How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any covers.

  • Power reset: Leave the unit completely powered off for at least 5 minutes, then restore power. This can sometimes clear transient communication errors.
  • Check connectors: Remove the front cover and reseat the ribbon cables between the display board and the main control board. Ensure no pins are bent.
  • Verify supply voltage: Use a multimeter to confirm that the supply voltage is within the range specified on the rating plate. Large deviations can cause logic errors.

If E12 persists, the control board firmware or memory is likely corrupted. Replacement of the main PCB (and sometimes the display PCB) with Ariston-approved parts is required and should be performed by a service technician.
