Possible Causes
Defective outlet NTC sensor, sensor not in proper contact with the outlet pipe, broken sensor wiring.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Hot water can cause burns. Allow the system to cool before working near the outlet pipe.
Steps:
- Locate outlet sensor: Some Eldom models have a separate NTC clipped to the hot water outlet pipe or in a dedicated well.
- Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped to the pipe or fully inserted into its pocket, with any thermal paste or sleeve intact.
- Inspect cable: Look for cuts or kinks in the sensor cable. Re-seat the connector at the control board.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect and measure the sensor resistance at room temperature; compare it to Eldom specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Replace sensor: Install a new outlet NTC temperature sensor if the original is defective.
