The softener uses salt very quickly and regenerates more often than expected.

Safety: No special hazards beyond normal plumbing work.

• Check programming: Compare programmed hardness and capacity with actual water test results and Aqmos sizing guidelines. Reduce the hardness setting if it was overestimated.
• Inspect for leaks: With all fixtures closed, check the Aqmos display for flow. Any continuous flow indicates a leak (toilet, tap, outdoor line) that must be repaired.
• Verify flow sensor: Clean and inspect the flow turbine and sensor to ensure they are not generating false pulses.
• Adjust regeneration strategy: If the unit is set to time-clock mode with very frequent cycles, switch to metered mode or extend the time interval according to usage.
