Water leaks from the brine tank or around its base.

Possible Causes
Cracked brine tank, leaking brine line connection, overflow from a stuck safety float, hole from corrosion or impact.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and contain the leak to prevent floor damage. Brine is corrosive to some materials.
- Identify source: Dry the outside of the tank and observe where new moisture appears—at fittings, seams, or the bottom.
- Check fittings: Tighten or reseal the brine line and overflow fittings. Replace grommets or bulkhead fittings if they seep.
- Inspect safety float: Ensure the float shuts off brine fill and is not stuck open, causing an overflow.
- Assess tank integrity: If the tank itself is cracked or perforated, replacement of the brine tank is recommended rather than repair.
