How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: You can review alarms with power on. Do not disassemble the valve while it is under pressure.
- Review alarm history: Enter the diagnostics or history menu and note any stored error codes (Err1–Err9, etc.). Address those specific issues first.
- Check service interval setting: Some Hellenbrand controls allow a time-based service reminder. If the interval has elapsed, the Service message may simply be a reminder. Reset the service timer per the manual.
- Inspect basic operation: Confirm the unit is metering water, regenerating on schedule, and producing soft water. If all functions are normal, the message may be informational.
- Clear the message: Use the appropriate key sequence to clear the Service reminder. If it returns quickly, investigate underlying mechanical or electrical issues.
- Schedule professional service: If you cannot identify the cause or multiple errors recur, contact a qualified Hellenbrand dealer for a full system inspection.
