The brine tank has very little or no water; the softener may not regenerate effectively.

Safety: Shut off water and relieve pressure before removing valve components. Unplug power.

• Observe refill: During the brine refill stage, check if water is entering the brine tank. No flow indicates a refill problem.
• Clean flow control: Remove the brine refill flow control and clean any debris. Ensure the orifice is not blocked.
• Check valve operation: Inspect the brine valve or solenoid for movement during refill. Replace the Pentair brine valve assembly if stuck closed.
• Adjust settings: Increase the brine refill time or salt dose in programming to achieve the correct brine volume for your resin size.
