E1
Wine cooler not cooling properly, temperature rising above setpoint, E1 displayed on control panel
Cabinet Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E10
E10 error; the fan may run but the compressor does not, or the unit cycles off quickly after starting.
Compressor Protection / Overcurrent Fault
E11
E11 displayed; the interior fan runs but there is little or no cooling, and the compressor may be silent.
Condenser Fan / Condenser Cooling Fault (for models with a separate condenser fan)
E12
E12 error; the unit may show very low or very high temperature readings that do not match actual conditions.
Temperature Calibration / Sensor Range Error
E13
E13 displayed; the unit may shut down or run continuously, sometimes associated with frost build-up.
Defrost System Fault (for frost-free AEG wine coolers)
E14
E14 error; the display may be blank or show garbled characters, and buttons may be unresponsive.
User Interface / Display PCB Fault
E15
E15 displayed; an audible alarm sounds, and the unit may stop cooling as a safety measure.
Internal Leak / Condensate Overflow Detection (if equipped with a leak sensor)
E16
E16 error; the unit may not respond to temperature adjustments, and the setpoint cannot be changed.
Keypad / Touch Control Fault
E17
E17 displayed; a dual-zone AEG wine cooler shows an error on one zone, and that zone is not cooling correctly.
Secondary Zone Temperature Sensor Fault
E18
E18 error; a dual-zone model cannot maintain separate temperatures, and both zones drift together.
Air Damper / Zone Separation Fault
E19
E19 displayed; the interior light may flicker or stay on, and door alarm behavior is abnormal.
Low-Voltage Communication / Bus Error Between Boards
E2
Display shows E2 and the wine cooler runs erratically or not at all; temperature reading is incorrect or dashes
Evaporator Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E3
E3 displayed, compressor may not start or runs continuously, temperature display unstable
Ambient Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E4
E4 error on display, interior fan not running or runs intermittently, poor air circulation and uneven temperature
Evaporator/Interior Fan Motor Fault
E5
E5 displayed, compressor does not start or stops shortly after starting, cabinet warms up
Compressor Start/Overload Protection Fault
E6
E6 error; interior light and display work, but the compressor and fan do not run, and the unit remains warm.
Main Control Board Failure
E7
E7 displayed; door alarm may sound continuously even when the door is closed, and the interior light may stay on.
Door Switch / Door Sensor Fault
E8
E8 error; continuous beeping, the temperature display may flash, and the unit may shut down cooling.
High Temperature Alarm / Overtemperature Condition
E9
E9 displayed; the unit may shut down or run erratically, sometimes accompanied by a flickering display.
Low Voltage / Power Supply Fault
Symptom
Clicking sound every few minutes, compressor attempts to start but stops, cabinet not cooling.
Compressor Start Failure
Symptom
Condensation forming on the outside of the door glass.
Door Insulation / Ambient Humidity Issue
Symptom
Display is blank, but the interior light and cooling still work.
Display Backlight or UI Power Fault
Symptom
Door alarm sounds even though the door appears closed, with no error code on the display.
Door Not Detected Closed
Symptom
Door will not close properly or pops open slightly after closing.
Door Alignment / Hinge or Gasket Problem
Symptom
Dual-zone wine cooler: one zone cools normally, the other is warm, and no error code is displayed.
Single-Zone Cooling Circuit or Airflow Fault
Symptom
Excessive frost or ice build-up on the back wall or around the evaporator; cooling performance gradually declines.
Defrost / Drainage Problem or High Humidity Ingress
Symptom
High-pitched squealing or whirring noise from inside the cabinet.
Evaporator Fan Bearing Wear or Obstruction
Symptom
Interior LED lighting flickers intermittently while cooling is otherwise normal.
Unstable LED Driver or Loose Connection
Symptom
Persistent musty or sour odor inside the wine cooler.
Microbial Growth / Contamination
Symptom
Rattling or clanking noise when the compressor starts or stops.
Loose Components or Tubing Vibration
Symptom
Shelves are difficult to slide, and a scraping noise occurs when pulling out bottles.
Shelf Rail / Guide Wear or Misalignment
Symptom
Temperature display flashing, but no specific error code; unit may still cool.
Unstable Temperature or Sensor Reading
Symptom
The interior light is not working, but cooling is normal.
Interior LED / Lamp Failure
Symptom
The wine cooler is not cooling at all; the interior light works, the compressor and fans are silent, and no error code is displayed.
No Power to Compressor Circuit
Symptom
The wine cooler is overcooling; bottles are partially freezing even at a moderate set temperature, and no error code is displayed.
Thermostat / Temperature Control Stuck Closed
Symptom
The wine cooler runs but does not get cold enough; the temperature stabilizes above the setpoint without an error code.
Reduced Cooling Capacity / Partial Refrigerant Loss
Symptom
Unit trips household circuit breaker or RCD when it starts.
Electrical Short or Earth Leakage
Symptom
Water is pooling at the bottom of the wine cooler or on the floor in front, and no error code is displayed.
Condensate Drain Blockage or Leak
Symptom
Wine cooler makes a loud humming or buzzing noise during operation.
Compressor or Vibration Noise
Symptom
Wine cooler vibrates excessively, bottles rattle when the compressor runs.
Cabinet Vibration / Installation Issue
Symptom
