Possible Causes
Faulty cabinet temperature sensor, Stuck compressor relay on main PCB, Miscalibrated control board, Shorted sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps to correct continuous running and overcooling:
- 1. Verify setpoint: Ensure the temperature is not set too low. Adjust to a higher value and monitor for several hours.
- 2. Compare with thermometer: Place a separate thermometer inside to confirm actual temperature versus display.
- 3. Inspect and test sensor: Access the cabinet NTC sensor and test its resistance at known temperatures. Replace if readings are incorrect or unstable.
- 4. Check wiring: Look for damaged or shorted sensor wires that could cause the board to read a falsely high temperature.
- 5. Control board relay: If the compressor runs even when the setpoint is reached and the sensor is good, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. Replace the main control board.
