Possible Causes
Blocked drain hole or tube, Cracked drain tray above compressor, Excess humidity entering through poor door seal, Unit not level causing water to overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before working near the compressor or drain system.
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front feet so the cooler tilts slightly backward to encourage drainage.
- Clear internal drain: Locate the small drain hole at the back of the interior. Use a soft brush, cotton swab, or flexible plastic rod to clear debris.
- Flush drain tube: From the rear, find the drain tube leading to the evaporator tray. Gently blow air through it or flush with warm water using a syringe.
- Inspect drain tray: Check the plastic tray above the compressor for cracks or displacement. Replace the "Evaporator drain tray" if damaged.
- Check door gasket: Replace if it allows excessive moist air inside, which increases condensate.
