Possible Causes
Blocked condenser airflow, Failed condenser fan, High ambient temperature around the unit, Faulty compressor thermal protector or current sensor on the main PCB.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and allow the compressor to cool down before touching it.
- Check installation: Ensure there is adequate clearance around the CELLA wine cooler (typically at least several centimeters on the sides and back) for ventilation.
- Clean condenser: Remove the rear lower panel and clean the condenser coil thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
- Verify condenser fan: Confirm the condenser fan motor runs whenever the compressor is on. Replace it if it is not operating.
- Inspect compressor temperature: If the compressor is extremely hot to the touch, the thermal protector may be tripping. Allow it to cool down and check if the E11 error clears after cleaning and improving airflow.
- Control board sensor: If airflow is good and the compressor is not overheating but the E11 error persists, the current/temperature sensing circuit on the main control board may be faulty, requiring replacement.
