Aging cabinet sensor, Poor sensor placement or contact, Control board calibration drift, Warm air infiltration from a door gasket leak.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before moving sensors.
- Confirm with reliable thermometer: Place a calibrated thermometer in the center of the cabinet, away from walls, and check after several hours.
- Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet sensor is properly mounted in its holder and not touching the evaporator directly, which can skew readings.
- Replace sensor: If the display is consistently off by several degrees, replace the cabinet NTC temperature sensor.
- Check door gasket: A leaking gasket can cause warm air pockets near the door. Replace the door gasket if it does not seal tightly.
