Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain tube, a drain pan misaligned or cracked, excessive door openings causing condensation, or the unit not being level.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before tipping or removing rear panels. Use caution when moving the appliance.
Steps to stop leaks:
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level to ensure the cooler is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust leveling feet as needed.
- Locate drain tube: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole at the rear (below the evaporator area). Ensure it is not blocked by debris or mold.
- Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible plastic line to gently clear the drain hole and tube. Do not use sharp metal objects.
- Check drain pan: At the rear, inspect the condensate pan above the compressor. Ensure it is properly seated and not cracked. Replace if damaged.
- Reduce condensation: Minimize door openings and ensure the door gasket seals well to reduce the moisture load.
