How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance. The compressor and nearby components may be hot; allow them to cool.
- Locate compressor sensor: Some Grundig models use an NTC sensor clipped to the compressor shell. Inspect its position and attachment.
- Check wiring: Ensure the sensor cable is intact and not touching hot or moving parts.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to Grundig specifications. Replace the sensor if readings are abnormal.
- Reattach sensor: If the sensor has come loose, reclip it firmly to the compressor using the original bracket or clip.
- Replace sensor or PCB: Install a new Grundig compressor temperature sensor if defective. If the sensor is functional but the E14 error persists, the main PCB may need replacement.
