Possible Causes
Faulty cabinet NTC sensor, Defective main control board temperature regulation, Poor door seal causing heat gain, Blocked air circulation inside cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or the control board.
- Verify actual temperature: Place an accurate thermometer in the middle of the cabinet and compare to the display. Note any large discrepancy.
- Check door gasket: Inspect for gaps, tears, or hardened sections. Replace the Grundig door gasket if it does not seal evenly.
- Ensure proper loading: Avoid overpacking bottles against the rear wall or air vents. Maintain space for air circulation.
- Test cabinet sensor: Measure resistance of the cabinet NTC and compare to Grundig specs. Replace if out of range.
- Replace control board if needed: If sensor and gasket are good but temperature control is erratic, the main PCB may be misregulating and should be replaced.
