• Check gasket contact: Close the door on a thin strip of paper at several points around the door frame. Gently pull the paper; if it slides out easily, the gasket is not sealing properly at that point.
• Clean gasket: Wipe the gasket and its mating surface with warm soapy water to remove dirt and sticky residue. Dry thoroughly.
• Warm and reshape: If the gasket is slightly deformed, use a hair dryer on a low setting to gently warm the rubber and reshape it by hand while the door is closed.
• Adjust hinges: Tighten hinge screws and adjust the door so it sits squarely within the opening. Ensure the door closes fully without any interference.
• Replace gasket: If the gasket is cracked, torn, or permanently warped, remove it from the door channel and install a new hOmeLabs door gasket for your model.
• Level the cabinet: Adjust the front leveling feet so the door naturally swings closed rather than remaining open.
