Possible Causes
Dirty pre-motor filter, damp dust in bin, pet hair and dander buildup, bacteria growth on foam filters.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove it from the charger. Avoid inhaling dust while cleaning.
- Step 1 – Empty and wash bin: Remove the dust container and wash it with mild detergent and warm water if the manual allows. Dry completely before refitting.
- Step 2 – Clean or replace filters: Wash foam filters as permitted and allow them to dry for at least 24 hours. Replace HEPA or non-washable filters with genuine AEG replacements.
- Step 3 – Check for damp debris: Do not vacuum wet materials. If you have done so, thoroughly clean the bin and cyclone and let them dry.
- Step 4 – Deodorize gently: You may place a small vacuum-safe deodorizing pad in the bin (avoid loose powders that can clog filters).
