Possible Causes
Short circuit in a specific Jimmy motorized attachment, Incorrect resistance on the ID pin, Damaged accessory connector, Faulty accessory detection circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before connecting or disconnecting powered attachments.
- Step 1 – Identify the faulty tool: Test the vacuum with no attachment, then with each Jimmy tool one by one. Note which tool causes F3.
- Step 2 – Inspect the suspect tool: Check for visible damage, broken plastic, or exposed wires on the attachment.
- Step 3 – Check connector pins: Look for bent or shorted pins on the attachment and on the handheld outlet. Straighten gently if slightly bent.
- Step 4 – Replace attachment: If F3 occurs only with one tool, replace that Jimmy motorized attachment.
- Step 5 – PCB diagnosis: If F3 appears with all tools, the accessory detection circuit on the main PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
