Possible Causes
Continuous use on thick carpets causing a high load; hair build-up in brush bar bearings; failing brush motor in the floorhead; blocked air channels in the floorhead.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and disconnect the floorhead before working on it.
- Allow to cool: Allow the floorhead to cool for at least 20 to 30 minutes before further use.
- Clean brush bar thoroughly: Remove the brush bar and clear all hair and fibres from the bristles and end caps. Ensure the brush bar spins freely.
- Inspect air channels: Check the underside of the floorhead for blockages in the suction channel and around the brush motor housing.
- Use appropriate power setting: On very thick carpets, use a lower power setting or reduce pressure on the floorhead to avoid overloading the brush motor.
- Replace floorhead if needed: If E14 recurs quickly even after cleaning and cooling, the brush motor's thermal protection may be tripping due to an internal failure. Replace the motorised floorhead assembly.
