Possible Causes
Broken internal charging harness from dock contacts to PCB, dry solder joint on the handle charging connector, failed charge control IC on the main PCB, or physical damage to the handle charging port.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger before inspecting the handle and dock.
- Check dock LED: If the dock LED indicates charging but the vacuum's LEDs remain off, the issue is likely in the handle.
- Wiggle test: With the charger plugged in and the vacuum docked, gently move the vacuum slightly. If the LEDs flicker, there is a loose connection in the handle or contacts.
- Inspect for cracks: Look for cracks or impact damage around the handle base where it sits on the dock.
- Service required: Internal charging harness and PCB repairs require disassembly. If E18 persists, have the handle assembly serviced or replaced.
