Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on the main control PCB; liquid ingress causing PCB damage; loose internal wiring harness between the trigger and PCB; failed microcontroller on the control board.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack immediately if you suspect liquid has entered the unit. Do not attempt to use or charge a wet appliance.
- Power reset: Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes. Press and hold the trigger for 10 seconds (with the battery removed) to discharge residual power, then refit the battery and test.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the vents and seams for signs of moisture or residue. If the unit was exposed to liquids, do not power it on. Allow it to dry in a warm, ventilated area for at least 48 hours, with the battery removed.
- Inspect trigger feel: Ensure the trigger moves freely and is not stuck. A jammed trigger can confuse the control logic.
- No user-serviceable parts: The main control PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and firmware are not user-repairable. If E9 persists after a reset and drying period, the control PCB must be replaced by an authorised service centre.
