Possible Causes
Failed internal insulation test, Faulty ground fault detection circuit, Defective main control board, Firmware corruption
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not bypass or ignore internal self-test failures; they protect against shock and fire.
- Step 1 – Full reboot: Turn OFF the breaker for at least 5 minutes to fully discharge internal capacitors. Turn it back ON and check if E10 clears.
- Step 2 – Firmware update: Use the Enel X app to check for and install any available firmware updates. Follow on-screen instructions and do not interrupt power during the update.
- Step 3 – Visual inspection: With power OFF and cover removed, inspect the control board for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or damaged connectors.
- Step 4 – Check RCD and CT wiring: Ensure the residual current sensor and current transformer wiring harnesses are firmly seated on the control board.
- Resolution: If E10 persists after reboot and firmware update, the main control board or associated safety circuitry is likely defective and should be replaced by an authorized Enel X technician.
