Possible Causes
Incorrect phase wiring order, Missing phase on three‑phase supply, Loose phase terminal inside charger, Faulty phase detection circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Three‑phase wiring must be handled only by qualified electricians. Turn OFF power at the main disconnect before inspection.
- Step 1 – Verify supply type: Confirm that the Enel X charger model is compatible with the supply (e.g., 3‑phase 400 V).
- Step 2 – Check terminal block: With power OFF, open the charger and verify that L1, L2, L3, N (if used), and PE are correctly connected and tight.
- Step 3 – Measure phases (electrician): Measure voltage between each pair of phases and to neutral. A missing or low phase indicates a supply issue.
- Step 4 – Correct phase order: If the charger requires a specific phase sequence, swap two phases at the input terminal block to correct rotation.
- Resolution: If wiring and supply are correct but E18 persists, the phase detection circuit on the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
