Schneider Electric
No Charge Start Without Fault Indication
Vehicle plugged in but charging does not start; no error code is displayed, and LEDs remain steady or show a 'ready' state.

Possible Causes
Vehicle's onboard charger not requesting current, control pilot level accepted but no state transition, misconfigured EVlink current limit too low, faulty Type 2 connector latch not fully engaged.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not open the charger while energized. Basic checks can be performed externally.
- Check vehicle settings: Ensure the EV is not set to delayed charging or a scheduled charge time. Disable any timers and try again.
- Reconnect cable: Unplug the connector from the vehicle, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in firmly until you hear or feel the latch click.
- Try another EV or cable: If possible, test with a different vehicle or Type 2 cable to determine whether the issue lies with the charger or the EV/cable.
- Verify current limit: If your EVlink allows user configuration, ensure the maximum current is not set below the vehicle's minimum requirement (e.g., not below 6-8 A).
- Power cycle charger: Turn off the breaker for 1-2 minutes, then restore power and attempt charging again.
- When to call a technician: If the charger never transitions to charging with multiple vehicles and cables, internal diagnostics are needed; contact a Schneider Electric-qualified technician.
