E10
Caple
High Temperature / Over-Temperature Protection Fault
E10 error; the freezer may not cool, and the compressor may not run.

Possible Causes
Prolonged door open causing high internal temperature, Failed high-temperature sensor, Blocked condenser causing overheating, Faulty over-temperature protection circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before cleaning the condenser or accessing sensors.
Steps to resolve E10:
- 1. Check door and load: Ensure the door is fully closed and not obstructed. Remove any items preventing closure. Allow several hours for the temperature to recover if the door was left open.
- 2. Clean condenser: Pull the freezer away from the wall. Brush or vacuum dust from the condenser coils and ventilation grilles to improve heat dissipation.
- 3. Verify ambient conditions: Ensure the freezer is not installed in a very hot, unventilated space, which can trigger over-temperature alarms.
- 4. Inspect high-temperature sensor: Some Caple models use a dedicated over-temperature sensor on the condenser or compressor. Check wiring and test the sensor for continuity or correct resistance.
- 5. Reset alarm: Many models allow manual alarm reset via the control panel. After correcting the cause, reset and monitor if E10 returns.
- 6. PCB check: If the freezer is actually cold but still shows E10, the over-temperature circuit on the PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
Warning: If the compressor is extremely hot to touch or you smell burning, disconnect power immediately and call a technician.
